The Historical Records Rescue Consortium (HRRC) has been completed.

HRRC was able to preserve historical records held in the J S Battye Library of West Australian History for the immediate and long-term benefit of the entire Western Australian community.

Through HRRC a $3 million Lotterywest Grant was awarded to rescue and make accessible the most at-risk and in-demand historic newspapers, photographic negatives and films held in the Battye Library. The HRRC project is a partnership between Lotterywest, the State Library of WA, the Department of Culture and the Arts and community stakeholders (includes WAGS).
