Who Do You Think You Are

On Friday 5th November 2010, Ralph and I attended the launch of Who Do You Think You Are? - Series 3 at the Maritime Museum in Fremantle. Australian Cricket legend, Rod Marsh's family history was featured.  Rod was at the launch and answered questions regarding his experience in filming this episode.

It was wonderful to see WA represented, especially Liz Kelly, Geraldton Family History Society's Librarian and Alan Ralph and Marjorie Bly from the National Archives Australia (Perth Office).

There were approximately 300 people at the launch, including Rod's relatives and friends, Western Australian cricketers and representatives from Genealogy organisatons.

Without giving away any clues as to what was "discovered" I can say that this episode features Western Australia (especially Geraldton) and should not be missed.

The Series starts on SBS on Sunday 28th November 2010 (7:30pm) and will feature: Magda Szubanski, Rod Marsh, Tina Arena, Shane Bourne, Paul Mercurio and Georgie Parker. Rod Marsh's episode will be shown on December 5th.

I would like to congratulate everyone involved in the production of such a fantastic series. All the episodes are very interesting to watch and are well researched and generate a lot of interest in family history.

The following companies were involved in producing Who Do You Think You Are?: Artemis International, SBS Television, Screenwest, and Serendipity Productions

Tell your friends and family about this series.  Even if they aren't interested in family history research, they will enjoy watching this program.

Until next time, good luck with your research
