Is anybody interested in being part of a group to go to the NoE in 2018ish?
I'm planning to go and "find my roots" around Lancashire:- Preston, Burscough, Lathom, Pilling area
Being 2nd Gen. Australian I like to go and have a look around but I don't speak the language,
so maybe there is somebody how is also planning a trip and could go as interpreter.
I'll be at the North of England Special Interest Group Meetings
Look forward to seeing you there :)

I understand about the language Geoff although it gets harder the closer you get to the borders!

Jeff and I may be going to the UK (if it is still united) in 2018 but don't plan to go to the NOE at this point.

Hopefully you will come to the meeting next weekend. Evadne

Have just been and found no problems with the locals but keep off the roads as whilst they drive on the same side as we do, the roads are not built for modern cars, and take car at roundabouts as they are a bit more complicated than ours, I went round one 4 times before I got into the correct lane to get off.
