'Future of History in WA'

 Tuesday 2 December (5pm -7:30pm)

Join a discussion about the current and future challenges in collecting,
black-swan.jpgstudying, teaching and promoting West Australian history. Hear President
of the Australian Academy of Humanities, Lesley Johnson, discuss the
challenge for libraries in engaging with the history sector. Watch
current graduate students working on WA related history topics compete
in a 3 minute thesis competition and help pick a winner.  For more

The real story of World War II: 52 parts

FOR SALE with all proceeds going to the WAGS Library

52 parts in individual plastic sleeves complete with supplementary items.

images of war.jpgImages of War is a major series consisting of 52 parts organised into four volumes published by Marshall Cavendish and edited by John Pimlott, then Deputy Head of War Studies at RMA Sandhurst.
Profusely illustrated in colour and monochrome throughout, the set comes with 2 x binders plus two additional items: -
•    Images of War 1939-1945: The real story of World War II. The war at Christmas throughout the war, throughout the world
•    The War Years Issue 1 - 1939 - the day war broke out. Companion series to Images of War

In addition, all 52 parts come in separate plastic sleeves which also contain a large coloured folding campaign map, a reproduction newspaper of the day.
Complete sets are very scarce and all items are in as new condition.

$50 ONO

This is the last edition for the year. The First edition for 2015 will be published after the Australia Day weekend in January 2015.
