Cite Your Sources - Edwina Shooter - Tuesday 28 March 2017 1pm - 3pm

The records we collect help us to put flesh on the bones of our ancestors.  Every piece of information we collect is evidence which validates the when, where and how our ancestors' lived.  The sources allow us to document our findings and are the cornerstone of sound genealogical research.  Edwina will demonstrate the value of source citations and how to record them.  Followed by Online Family Trees,The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

Preservation of Documents - Diane Foster - Tuesday 24 October 2017 12 noon - 3pm   Note the early start.

WAGS archivist Diane Foster will illustrate why we need to choose the correct materials for preservation of precious documents.  A show and tell will advise what products are suitable for a variety of documents to enhance preservation.  This will be an interactive session and some material may be available for purchase.  Participants are welcome to bring along an item for advice about what products may be useful for storage.
