Orientation to the Society and Resource Centre

Discover how to get the most out of your membership.

New members or any member wanting a refresher session (or if you are thinking of joining) on what resources are available to help you with your research - in the library, on our website and elsewhere. Each orientation session includes information and demonstrations on how to use our library and catalogue, what resources are available on our computers, Activities program, Special Interest Groups, Forum, Website, WAGSnet plus lots more.

The day will start at 10.00am, break for morning tea, and conclude approximately 12.00pm. You are then free to use the library until 14:30.

You are invited to bring your lunch [tea and coffee provided] and join with others in some lunchtime discussion before moving to the library to do your own research.

This course is free for Members, but you will need to register, just scroll down the list of FamilyHistoryWA Events to find the Orientation session which suits you.

Orientation days are held on the: 3rd Wednesday of each month or the fifth Saturday, February to November.
