Genealogy Centre at the State Library of Western Australia (SLWA)
In addition to the comprehensive resources available at the WAGS Library, there is a great collection of records for each of the Australian States, New Zealand and Britain, at the Genealogy Centre in the Alexander Library of the SLWA . There are more extensive resources relating to Western Australia at the J S Battye Library, and the State Records Office.
A dedicated group of Volunteers from WAGS are in attendance at the Genealogy Centre (on the First Floor of The Alexander Library Building) on each:
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 09:30 until 13:00.
The Genealogy Centre is also accessible during normal opening hours of the Alexander Library.
WAGS Volunteers at the Genealogy Centre
The WAGS Volunteers who are in attendance at the Genealogy Centre have extensive experience in Family History Research and detailed knowledge of the resources available in both the WAGS Library and the State Library.
Our volunteers are there to answer any questions visitors may have on Genealogy and Family History, assist with research in the family history section of the State Library and provide detail on how the WAGS Library resources may be of assistance to visitors research.
