British Regiments of Foot in AustraliaBritish soldiers - Eureka Stockade 1854

The Royal Marines served in the Colony between 1788 and 1790, after which the New South Wales Corps (Rum Corps) took over for the 20 years up to 1810.

After the New South Wales Corps were ousted in 1810 there were twenty four British Regiments that served in Australia between 1810 and 1870, two of those doing 2 tours. Of these there were nine regiments that served in Western Australia for varying lengths of time. This list does not include Enrolled Pensioner Guards as such.

The attached image and pdf document draws on source information from Wikipedia (links also in the pdf doc) and is an endeavour to put the information into an easily readable graphic format.

The infographic is a large dimension image (3700 x 1700 pixels), and the pdf document is saved at C2 size (45.8 cm x 64.8 cm), so if you wish to print the document at full size on one page you will need a large format printer.
