Okay

After being inspired to do a bit more work on my great great grandmother (Sabina Pender) after Lorraine and Bevan's talk today I :-

1. I rechecked all the databases, google, ancestry, trove etc - nothing!
2. I googled for alternate spellings and found Pinder/Pindar which I hadn't checked.
3. Back to Trove where low and behold "S Pinder" is listed in the Shipping Intelligence (Perth gazette) of 6/5/1853 as arriving on the Palestine as an immigrant!!! WOW

Only a 19 year old Libby Pinder is listed in the WAGS Arrivals database for the Palestine but I'm taking it as a win!!

Yes, I have a Bride ship girl in my tree.
Her name is Johanna Duggan and she arrived on the Palestine on the 20 Aug 1866. She married William Murphy (who is my 3rd gg uncle) at Toodyay in 9 Feb 1869.
Let me know what other info you might like :)
Sue
