I am checking everything I can think of ..I have checked "forgotten pioneers of the Eastern Goldfields" but he is not listed there, I will keep looking!
Have you checked any Cemeteries in WA?
Cheers,
Robyn
Hi Anne,
Have been thinking about this...did Richard leave a will? Did you check probate in Victoria? This may have info re Richard and where he died. This would be a quicker way to find out where he died than actually trying to find him "before" he died.
Even if he died in WA but his wife was still living in Vict. then his will should be registered in Vict! Try that if not already done....I will still do more checking this end.
Cheers,
Robyn Horner.
Hello Anne,
I will have a look for your R.M. Bennett, and get back to you, and pass this enquiry onto the Eastern Goldfields Historical Society - they may have something on him.

Robyn Horner.
Hi,
I am trying to locate my very elusive g g grandfather's death details.
Richard, b. 1821 in Lancashire, Eng. and wife Maria Bennett emigrated to Victoria in 1854.
I have the feeling that he went to W A around ?1890.
He is not listed as far as I'm aware on any of the state bdm records or the Australian Death Index. I believe his death was unregistered.
Does anyone have any suggestions or information that could help me trace him?
Many thanks in anticipation.
Regards,
Anne
