Scottish Group Meeting February 2012

Link to this post 24 Feb

The Scottish Special Interest group held their AGM last Sunday. Robyn Hukin and Margaret Pike were re-elected as Joint Co-ordinators. Ian Scott continues as the Newsletter Editor.

We have not yet filled the position of SIG Treasurer, a job that would take less than a couple of hours a month. Any one interested should contact Margaret Pike.

After welcoming three new members, and hearing of some research successes, the members present then spent several hours undertaking research in Units 5 & 6.

With our SIG 30th Anniverary coming up in May this year, a small sub-committee is busy planning activities. We will be reporting on planned activities on a regular basis.

We encourage persons carrying out Scottish research to come and join our Scottish Special Interest Group. New members are always made welcome, and can really benefit from the assistance and experience of the group.

Margaret Pike and Ian Scott are regular attendees at WAGS and will be more than happy to answer questions and sign up interested people.

Our next meeting of the Scottish Special Interest Group will be this coming Sunday 26th February 2012 in Units 5 and 6, starting at 2pm.

The afternoon begins with a short AGM to hear a report on the past year's activity and to elect a Coordinator, Newsletter Editor, and Treasurer for the coming year. To then hear of Group members' successes and questions. Afternoon tea, then the workshop segment where we move to Unit Six and undertake private research.

We hope to see you all there.
