TOPIC: RAF death on mission

RAF death on mission 09 Apr 2019 12:18 #1959

Is anyone able to set me straight on where I could expect to find a death reference for an RAF man who was shot down on a Mission from Lincolnshire, England over Germany in 1944?

Any suggestions gratefully accepted. Diane F

Hi Diane
1. Commonwealth War Graves Commission site if he died
2. get his service record from RAF - they are not cheap, take a long time to deliver and are difficult to decode. BUT have a wealth of information. I am not sure of the address but it used to be an RAF base near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
3. newspapers
Best of luck
