I was so tired of beating my head against a brick wall in the big four data bases so I changed my approach. I started searching through British newspapers at WAGS (Registered at home so I could use British newspapers at WAGS for free) and found my Michael O’Brien in 1910 and the generation below which was a step closer to the living who remained in Waterford in Ireland when my husband grandfather left for Australia in the 1890’s. I immediately went back to the big four to find marriage and birth certificates but no success but I am pleased with my little win
